As most Wisconsin hunters know, we get some pretty cold weather followed by some crazy warm stuff. I am the proud owner of ActionHeat socks, top & bottom base layer, and the vest. The vest i have had for about 5 years, and i always found myself wearing 2 thin little base layers so I could feel the heat from the vest. If i were to just wear the vest and was asked to do a review, I would have given it 3 stars. Now that I have added the heated base layers, it is insane how warm you can be. I'm almost 50, and those of you my age know we can't sit like we used to. Well I'm hear to tell you, that's all changed. With nothing but my outer blaze orange, heated vest, and heated base layer, I was toasty warm. In fact, with nothing turned on in 22° I was a tad warm walking out. After about an hour and a half, the cold was creeping in, so i turned everything on. Within minutes i could feel the heat pouring in. After about 10, I had to turn down vest and top to medium. The double whammy of those 2 was unbelievable! As far as the top goes, I would buy it a size snug and also for the bottoms. If there was one improvement I would make, it would be to turn on all device with a remote, or Bluetooth. For me, I found the socks the most difficult to access, so now I just turn them on before I head out. I pick medium, and leave them alone. The flap that the power button is on with the bottoms does get bumped a fair amount for me.
The good news is it just changes temp setting and doesn't shut them off. I'm still 5 stars on the base layer, but I think the vest plays a large part. To only wear a base layer, a vest. And an outer jacket is huge for me. Its nice to have no bulk and lots of freedom to move. As far as the price goes, yeah, it's a little high. My vest is still going strong after 5 years, so I know the stuff lasts. I have already purchased extra batteries, so I have a full day of heat. I think I will add the balaclava to my arsenal of heated gear next. Truly remarkable product, I can sit for hours and never even get a chill. Buyer beware, your wife will love this stuff, so she will be expecting it. Great for watch cold Friday night football, ice fishing, hunting, skiing...you name it!

I purchased the 5V Heated Base layer shirt for hunting season in central Wisconsin. I feel the shirt does a really good job and really pumps out some heat on High. The only negative I have about the shirt is that the heating coils don’t go as low as they show in the pics. It only goes down to just above the nipples and the back is a touch higher then that. All in all though I am satisfied with how well it works.

They are very warm by themselves. I like to wear it underneath a tshirt and jacket when I'm out hunting since it keeps me very warm. I have plenty of other warm layer shirts, but this is my most preferred shirt to wear for outdoor activities that are a little intensive and are in cold weather. I wish that the battery life lasted longer in heating up the shirt at the highest setting, but it is what it is.

I do like this! I just wish the heck wasn't so tall. It's not heated so no reason to be. Would prefer to be hidden more of just a base layer. Sticks up under stuff. Heats very well though in the smaller areas that it does, love that it comes with a battery! Battery life has been great so far! Give a couple hours so works well for outdoor hockey games;)

You don't realize how much you need a heated base layer until you have one! It's been such a benefit to various aspects of my life. I wear it beneath my layers when spending time outdoors during winter in Wisconsin. But I've also worn it to work (in an office) during especially cold days. It fits true to size and is comfy. Somehow it seems to trap heat inside yet it's also breathable, I don't sweat in it like I have with other base layers.

The adds for this garbage blocks my game. Can't get away from it.

Just wearing the shirt and not on has been enough to keep me warm. The few times I have used the heat, I set it on lthe lowest setting and was plenty warm.

I also own the heated base layer pants...very happy with both products. However, your shipping and shipping service is terrible. If I were CEO I would trim my margin by .005% and choose a better shipping partner.

Definitely worth having extra battery banks if you're skiing all day or anything like that, also could use an extra hole in the battery pouch so you can route the cable to a pant pocket more easily.

Besides that, it definitely lasts through the wash and multiple winters
