About Patagonia
At Sun & Ski Sports, we are proud to offer a wide assortment of Patagonia outdoor clothing and gear for silent sports: skiing, snowboarding, mountain biking, hiking, and trail running. Patagonia is an American outdoor clothing company founded by Yvon Chouinard in 1973. The first store opened in 1973 in Ventura, CA, selling bespoke mountain climbing gear. It expanded its product line to include apparel created for other outdoor sports, such as skiing and snowboarding.
Patagonia’s Mission Statement: We’re in business to save our home planet. At Patagonia, we appreciate that all life on earth is under threat of extinction. We’re using the resources we have—our business, our investments, our voice, and our imaginations—to do something about it.
Patagonia not only designs durable outdoor clothing and gear, but they also understand the environmental impact of the business of fashion and are committed to linking sports with activism.
As the world's leading sustainable outdoor clothing brand, Patagonia lives up to the standards it sets for itself by pushing for environmental awareness across the board. Featuring lightweight, breathable, and quick-drying technical fabrics for high-exertion activities in cold conditions, Patagonia outdoor clothing is proud to be made of 100% recycled polyester and structured for comfort during movement. Many of the styles Patagonia offers are Fair Trade Certified™ sewn, which means the people who made it earned a premium for their labor. Patagonia has also worked diligently to integrate odor-absorbing technology with HeiQ Fresh Tech into some of their high-performance outdoor clothing as an effective solution to odor prevention. Another excellent tech fabric Patagonia utilizes is Capilene, which wicks moisture and dries fast for high out-put days in temperatures ranging from cool to hot. Everything Patagonia makes, from dresses to men’s jackets and women’s jackets, is built to be durable, functional, and stylish.
