NOT WATERPROOF
I?m so disappointed that the Sorel name would allow such craftsmanship. The heal of the Women?s Slimpack ll laceboot is wrapped with a thin piece of leather that is lightly glued to the face of the actual heal which is showing through white.... The leather has bubbled and is buckling down over the heal after just a couple hours in weather that was damp, it had rained the day before. What a disappointment in Sorel as a company. We thought this would be a boot to have for several seasons, not just for looks but actually functional. A waterproof heal that is actually leather overlay on white and glued on with insufficient material. This is a terrible representation of Sorel for my first purchase of your brand via Nordstrom.

Boots fell apart after 3 days
Very disappointed in these boots. I thought I was ordering a pair of good quality boots. The heel started squeaking and is separating from the boot. The other boot heel also has a different issue.

See attached photos.

Waterproof boots not waterproof
I got these about two weeks ago.

1) They don't seem to keep my feet(toes) very warm in the frigid Chicago weather. Maybe that's my bad for not getting better insulated ones.

2) Now that it is raining (mid January, go figure), I noticed that my toes were getting wet just from walking through puddles! that didn't fully submerge my boots to begin with. I thought they were waterproof? This made me sad. Now I need a boot dryer because they are wet inside.

3) Only after a few times of wearing them, the loop to help get your shoe on broke as I was putting them on one day. Now I need to fix that somehow. I won't be able to use it but I can't walk around with it broken.

I was REALLY looking forward to receiving these after looking for boots for nearly a month. In my opinion, they are not worth the $150 that was paid.

Do NOT buy!!!
Received these boots as a Christmas present last year. Wore them a handful of times. Maybe 10-15 wears from January to April. I always wash all my boots before putting them up for the summer to remove any dirt or salt residue. All my boots are put in my closet on the shoe rack to make sure their shape maintains and that they don?t get damaged. I pulled them out and laced them up this past week due to 30 degree weather in MI and while I was wearing them I noticed something on the heel. I sat down to get a closer look at noticed the heels are PEELING OFF! What I thought was a solid wood heel is actually a wood like fabric that comes right off!! I pulled up the warranty to review what it entails. They state I am welcome to send them in to have them reviewed to see if the damage to my boots is covered. To my surprise, I will have to pay probably around $15-$20 to get this reviewed and not even guaranteed to be refunded or replaced. Even if they uphold their warranty, why in the world would I ever want another pair of these? I would be certain it would happy again especially considering MANY others are stating having the exact same problem. That is considered defective when numerous people have the same problem regarding a product. What I think is so crazy, is that based on my photos, how is that not enough evidence that my boots are defective? Instead, I have to spend my money to spend them in? My advice, save your money for another boot without this cheap fabric on the heel or better yet, spend your hard earned money on a different brand who has a warranty they are proud to have!

Cheaply made, not water resistant at all
The pull-loop on the back made to help pull the boot on broke the second time I put them on. The other boot followed suit two days later. Wore them in light rain twice, had an umbrella and avoided any puddles and still they were absolutely soaked. Took two days to dry out and now they smell beyond cleaning. The heal part fell apart from four days of walking on city sidewalks. They were the only boots I had on my trip so was forced to wear them which probably means Sorel won't honor their warranty. So bummed I spent this much money on a throw away product but even more bummed that I won't be buying from Sorel again as their boots are cute and comfortable, but not functional at all.

heel fell apart in less than one week
As previous reviews mentioned, these boots run a full size small. So, If you are a true size 10, I would recommend ordering a size 11. But, to be perfectly honest.. I just don't think you should order these boots at all. I had my boots for less than one week and the heels started to crack and peel away. I called Sorel's customer service, and everything was such a pain. I ended up re-ordering this boot, and being sent the wrong size 2x, and ultimately just cut my losses. Attached are photos illustrating the poor quality.

Disappointed.
These boots are meant for winter wear. The first time I wore it when it snowed, the boots immediately became wet on the inside. Even the smallest amount of moisture makes the boots wet inside. I understand that I cannot expect a completely waterproof product, as these are not rain boots. I did expect, however, that I could walk in my Sorel boots in 1 inch of snow, without having wet feet.

A solid investment, but size up!
I bought these because I wanted a boot that was stylish enough to wear to my business casual office, but was also weatherproof. These seemed like a good match and thus far, they have been great boots. As other reviewers have noted, these boots run small and you will want to size up when buying them. I typically wear a 7.5 but sized up to an 8, which fits perfectly. I chose the elk/black color. The boot is lined with micro-fleece and is surprisingly comfortable- it feels like it is hugging your foot when you put it on. I've hiked in them on muddy park trails for a few hours and didn't have issues with discomfort or foot pain. Where I live, we get plenty of rain so I was quickly able to test these in downpours and large puddles. I've also sprayed the bottoms off with the hose a few times. They are indeed, thoroughly waterproof. I haven't tested them in snow yet but they've been keeping my feet warm in the 40 degree weather and would probably be adequate in snow if paired with warm socks.

Slimpack II Fell apart less than 6 months
I sized up a whole size and they fit great. I was hoping for good things wearing them ONLY into and out of work. (I wear different shoes at work). My feet stayed warm and dry however the heel started to tear at the base on both shoes. Contacting the warranty department I had to pay $19.00 to ship them back thru UPS hoping I get credit. I'm not a fan of a company charging customers for poor performing expensive boots. Sorel .. you're losing me and apparently, you're well aware of the problem as evidenced by the reviews of others.
