Big time cyclist and runner. My very overpriced Oakley evzeros are on there way out, so I wanted to give something else a try. Smiths unique lens options really grabbed my attention. Particularly the Flywheels. The large lens extend above the brow, which adds great field of view and protection looking upwards. Mechanically, build quality is pretty much as good as it gets. The frame is rigid and the arms lock up very sturdy & secure upon folding and opening them. The arms on my Oakleys would loosen up over time, sometimes even pop off. I can imagine these will hold up very well upon everyday use. I'll certainly be looking at another pair of Smiths in the near future, hope to see some more of these attractive designs.

Like the photochromic lenses, just wish they'd get a little darker in high light. Still perfect for 90% of the conditions here in central Oregon. They don't block as much wind as I would have thought with their shape. But overall they're really good mountain biking glasses.

These are great large frame glasses. I bought them for winter riding, as my eyes tend to tear up quickly in the cold. I thought they would be perfect at combatting that. And they are. BUT. They fog up very easily. They also somehow retain heat...on a hot day, the area behind the glasses actually gets hotter, its like a magnified glass effect. Probably not ideal for anything other than winter rides.

Good look on face, sharp vision and well construction quality.

I use these sunglasses for xc skiing and they work perfect! The CromaPop lenses are fantastic with both sunny and overcast days on the mountain and they do a great job of cutting the glare from the snow. The other day we had a storm mid day and the snow was coming down sideways. These glasses kept my eyes completely protected from the wind and snow!

I bought the Flywheel glasses for the MidSouth 100 mile bike race. They were great! The glasses fit very comfortably and provided great protection along with maximum visibility. So far they have also been very durable. I was impressed that there was no scratches even after a 100mile gravel race with dust and mud. The bonus for me was that they also match my Trace SMITH helmet.

I may not be the fastest on the uphill, but with these shades on I'm definitely the raddest!

I have owned Smith goggles for years and have always loved them. Finally got these for my sunglasses collection and they are the best active glasses I have ever owned. The visibility is spectacular in everything from bright sun to cloudy late evenings. The Chromapop really helps with definition in the shadows as well on a super bright, contrasty day. Have only had one minor problem with fogging while running on a chilly, humid day after a rain storm and my breath would fog the lenses up briefly. Not a huge deal and have had absolutely no issues biking even on hot humid and cold humid days. The airflow is great while on a bike. They fit my face perfectly but if you have a wider nose they may not work as well. The bridge is slightly adjustable but I need to have it on the widest setting and I have a rather average to skinny nose. The arms have plenty of adjustment to help fit them to stay on your face no matter what you are doing.

As a mountain biker I was on the search for a rimless shield style pair of glasses. Why? Because when you sweat and it drops onto the lens, a rim catches the sweat and that's gross ha! These have been the ticket so far and the optics are nice as well.

I'm not one for big glasses. Honestly, I think it's a trend that continually comes and goes, and I often find that most big lenses are a distraction and uncomfortable.

The Flywheel, however, offers an incredibly comfortable performance sunglass that gives you full access to your natural field of vision. They are comfortable, convenient, rather durable and honestly, don't look too bad either.
