I wounld not purchase from website again.
The wool balled up after a few wears and stared to unravel on one of the finger tips after a few days.
I purchased several pairs from a retailer over the years and never had this problem.

I would buy this product again.
I use this as a base layer under mittens and also use them alone when it is mild out. These gloves keep my hands very warm. .

Not like previous glove liner
I have worn smart wool liners for several years and loved them so much I ordered a third pair. Very disappointed in the fabric change! Still the same merino wool content but the acrylic and nylon now changed to polyester. The weave is not as tight and feel not as soft. They don't feel as warm and cozy. After wearing them twice one finger tip had a thread unraveling. I used to recommend these to all my friends, not any more.

Marvelous glove for almost any setting
Smartwool liner gloves have been my go-to winter glove for around a decade. They are surprisingly warm (they compare well to gloves that are considerably more bulky for heat retention), are very soft, aesthetically simple, pack down small and are fairly durable. The touchscreen fingers work without flaw. They're basically perfect for winter running, use around town, packing for unknown conditions when traveling, winter cycling, or as a liner under another breathable glove. They will tend to tear at the point between the thumb and pointer finger with enough use and/or wear out at the contact point on the finger tips, but are also fairly easy to repair with a bit of matching thread to extend the glove lifespan. I consider these to be in the small circle of essential and unique objects that I use daily and think highly enough of that I would attempt to save them directly after grabbing the pets in event of a house fire.

Good for lightweight needs
These gloves are pretty awesome. I'm out every day hiking in any weather and my hands get COLD. I didn't want something that would way me down so merino wool seemed like a good option, and it was! These gloves aren't quite as soft as I would've hoped-that's the only drawback for me. #sweepstakes

Light and works well as a liner. Material feels somewhat cheap but is still good for the price. Fits comfortably overall but finger length is a bit long. Touchscreen compatibility is surprisingly good but typing with thumb is made difficult by extra material.

Quality has gone downhill
I have a pair of these from 2 years ago and received the same ones as a gift (Dec 2023). The new ones are not as soft and feel cheap. Again, where is the wool?

I use more for a regular light glove for when the weather is just slightly cooler and I am walking the dog or getting in and out of my car. Pros are that they are warm enough for that purpose and fit in my purse easily. Cons are that they aren't warm enough to really use as a glove substitute and I feel are a little thick for use as a liner. That said, on freezing days I have fit them under recycled wool/ fleece mittens for snowshoeing and my hands stayed very toasty.

I wear these gloves year round. Well not in the summer but when it gets below zero I just wear them under mittens. They last about three years then the fingers fray. But we'll worth the money because they are the only gloves I go to. They are long so you don't get cold wrists. Have given them as gifts and loved by all. Surprise bonus the now are screen sensitive on the tips. So happy to have the smaller size as it's hard to find

Yes, even if I don't lose any more.
Love the glove liner. They have really helped to keep my fingers warmer than the gloves alone. Lost one glove already. Will order a new pair very soon!
