Too tight
This jacket is way too tight on me. I am a 3X in women's and purchased a 3x, but I can't even wrap this jacket around me and when I do, it's literally skin tight! Please understand that not every jacket you sell has to be snug, I think you can afford to create at least some sort of extra room. I'm tired of your plus sizes fitting like juniors sizes!

The Good, the Bad, and the Beautiful
The gorgeous blue-cornflower color, contrasting with the black trims, and black inner jacket is absolutely beautiful!! The construction seems to be standard North Face top quality. The length of the back of the 1X size is supposed to be 32 1/2" (but is 31 1/2," by my measurement, in person). However, the long length is perfect (and I can only think a jacket that is made the actual 32 1/2" would be even better, as I ordered the 1X just to get a longer jacket). The EMBROIDERED Logo (not ironed-on) is a nice quality touch, and much appreciated to not have a cheap rubber stamp on such a nice garment - so thank you, truly, for that quality addition. Being waterproof is stellar. The pockets are all in nice positions to easily put your hands and stuff into.
Here are the frustrating problems: A jacket of this North Face caliber should ALWAYS include a 2-way zipper on both the outside and inside jacket, but especially the outside. There is no reason NOT to include this feature, as this is needed to sit comfortably, and help the jacket to close at just the right place that one chooses to close it, for the appropriate activity. Also, this jacket does NOT have a cinch string at the waist, only at the bottom. This is very weird and unflattering. It needs a cinch at the waist. The snow skirt is great for skiing, but for around the lodge (or just around the town when you are home) it needs to have the ability for the button flap part to fold away when not in use. It looks odd flopping around when you are not using it. It could be a simple fix with just the addition of an extra set of inside button snaps, added inside, that would accept the flap-snaps to it - so the flaps could be easily folded away at their ends. The black inner jacket is appreciated, and great insulation for colder days, but sadly, is very unattractive - so much so - that I would never wear it alone around town, which is exactly what one wants to do! The arms are particularly strange looking, because they lack the quilted pattern of the rest of the body of the jacket.
The overall style of the jacket is very nice looking, but a very frustrating thing is that in men's clothing you always find BIG and "TALL" sizes. So, I ask you: Where are all the TALL sizes for Women?!? Are all women short? NO, of course not. North Face, please consider a whole group of customers who would very much appreciate a "TALL" Line for women, so that one can order a S, M , L , or XLarge in a TALL long-length of 32 1/2".
This jacket has many quality features to it, and will function amazingly, but is 2 stars away from total perfection.
I would recommend this jacket if you only want to ski in it - as it's an excellent North Face company jacket! But if you want to get full use off the slopes and around the town, i don't think i would. In my opinion, it needs some fit and finish improvements.

Too tight in tummy.
I get that I am a 2x but come on now I need belly room to zip in. Otherwise, IM OBSESSED. I have the black one and it is so classic. Can't wait to make the other baseball moms drool this fall. ??

Great 3 in 1 coat
I have had many North Face jackets and this one is by far the best. I like all of the pockets and the high collar that has plenty of room to zip up over my face. I would definitely buy this again!

Many features, but only useable part of the time
If you pay close attention to the photos, you will notice some features, such as the snow skirt, are only available when the liner is out of the coat. I.e. some of the best ski/snowboard features will only be available on warm days. But on cold days (with liber in), you can't synch the bottom of the jacket. Width is good through shoulders, chest and waist. The length in arms and torso is maybe 1-1.5" too short on my 5'9" frame.

Doesn't disappoint thus far!
So far I am loving this dual jacket! It replaced an older Tri-Vent dual jacket combo?.the waterproofing was no longer effective. (And it is now called, Dri-Vent) I haven't been out in a major downpour, but thus far, it has been great on the rainy days experienced.
I am not sure about how warm it will feel with second jacket/liner in it. Haven't experienced that really, hence, the 4 out of 5 rating.
Also, although I do think the cornflower color is pretty, my last jacket was a darker blue. I know there was a purple combo option and black. For a person who loves SOME color, the purple didn't feel that attractive and the cornflower blue color will likely show the dirt much easier-around cuffs/seat. We travel and I suspect attaching it to backpacks, etc. will show that.

Best jacket for skiing and walking my dog on a chilly day
A great find! Very warm, stylish and practical too! This weekend I skied and the 35 mile an hour wind chill temp was minus -5 degrees!! This double layer jacket is amazing!
I like the color and styling, and it got good reviews on Gear Lab.
Great color, great fit for a small woman (size S)!
