About the Smith Women's Mirage Snow Helmet
The Smith Women's Mirage MIPS Snow Helmet combines single-zone adjustable venting with lightweight in-mold construction for a helmet experience that is reduced down to just what you need for a day on the hill. The dial-fit system and cozy long-fleece liner ensure that you are comfortable and warm. The Mirage exemplifies Smith's belief that every detail should be considered. MIPS is used to reduce the rotational forces to the brain in the case of an oblique impact. Smith helmets are created to absorb direct impacts very efficiently and when combined with MIPS, Smith helmets absorb oblique forces better by allowing a small rotation of the outer shell relative to the liner.

Very difficult to use with an audio system
This helmet unlike other Smith helmets does not have the zipper at the bottom of the ear pad, it makes installing and removing the CHIPS audio system very difficult (for charging and use) and make using the wired system pretty much impossible without cutting a hole at the bottom of the right ear muff.
If Smith is going to say it supports Outdoor Tech audio systems, they should make it so it actually does.

Better suited for spring skiing
This helmet is comfortable fitting and I like the cozy liner feature. However, there is no option to close the vents around the circumference of the helmet. Only the top vents close. I did not realize that until after I purchased it. I returned the helmet because I don't expect it to keep me warm during cold winter days.

Great helmet
Very comfortable, even when skiing at 50° in this white helmet! The vents coupled with the Smith goggles work really well. Did not need a liner underneath as the material inside is very soft.

Teenage daughters liked their new helmets
I bought these for my children. Both her teenage daughters. They find them extremely comfortable. We were them for spring skiing. Nobody complained that they were too hot. Everyone found them comfortable with good temperature control. Both have long hair and were very happy. As teenagers, they are also fairly style conscious and found look ?acceptable;? in other words good looking.

Good helmet and great customer service.
Comfortable, light and stylish. I used to not wearing helmet and after a terrible fall, ski patrol told me ?why not wearing a helmet, it is safer?. I measured my head circumference and bought Mirage. Lo and behold, I fell so hard getting of chairlift and smacked my head on the icy floor. Lucky hot my helmet on and Mirage held up and didn?t crack and protected my head as intended. Then one day I lost the buckle, and there is no such thing as replacement part. I contacted customer support, and I get voucher for a replacement helmet. Good helmet, great customer service.

Great comfort and design fits
Great comfort and design fits my extremely odd very well! The padding around and over the ears allow me to not have to wear anything underneath from premium comfort.

Mirage Magic
This helmet is so plush on the inside. I wore it in 28 deg. and my ears were super warm. Fits perfect with the Smith I/O goggle and my new balaclava face mask. :)

Great functional fit at affordable
Great functional fit at affordable price for state-of-the art helmet to wear as an added protection against head trauma & confusions while instructing, coaching & just as important as having fun riding the slopes!
It has good ventilation features and is adjustable.
