The Origin LD is designed for trail running training and long-distance racing. It combines running precision with comfort and protection in a lightweight shoe. Running long distances on trails requires a superior level of comfort and secure foot hold. The Origin LD upper and footbed are pre-shaped around a specific anatomical last to deliver a great feel and perfect fit, right out of the box. This anatomical fit also provides greater midfoot support and heel hold while running. Their signature Knitted Engineered Guidance technology combines the comfort of a one-piece knitted upper with the secure foot hold offered by a lightweight engineered cage structure. The Origin LD sole has a wide design featuring a V-Shaped ESS insert plate at the midfoot to deliver torsion support and help prevent ankle injuries. When muscles get tired during a long-distance race or training on trails, it’s crucial to have a shoe capable of supporting the midfoot and accurately transferring information about rough terrain. Thanks to C.A.S. technology, our footbeds and uppers can be thermo-molded around the heel and the foot arch to deliver a new level of running precision.
