I bought this just about a month ago but have used maybe a couple of weeks at the most and I'm bit disappointed with build quality, function, and fit. In a short time, I'm already seeing the support/decorative details coming apart, peeling off the uppers (see photos). The quick lace doesn't hold very well, slips off and doesn't support my heel well especially when I'm running uphill on a trail. Design-wise, the soles seem a bit high, I often almost twist my ankle especially on uneven trails; probably better for just pavement running. Overall, not highly recommended for trail running and again, the build-quality is sub par.

I've been using the Speedcross trail running shoe for many years. I hold it in the highest regard and I recommend it to anyone who hasn't tried it. It's simply the best trail running shoe on the market, although it does favor narrow feet.
The new design is a shocking step backward. In fact, it's ruined the shoe for me. The upper feels like it is made out of thin cloth. There's too much of that material and it bunches up in folds on top of the shoe. Salomon told me they did this to save weight. The shoe does feel lighter but I never felt the original design was too heavy. The new design does not improve upon the old design. In fact. It's not only a step backward it's a misstep altogether. The old adage if it's not broken don't fix it certainly applies here. Very disappointed in this shoe.

Comfortable shoe but the sole is 90% gone in the forefoot after 70 days of average use. Salomon won't honor warranty stating "normal wear and tear" and "shoe not intended for daily wear".

Terrific?period

I have had many pairs of Solomon shoes.
Great shoes that don't last long.
Construction issues seam resolve with this high traction, superb fitting, gore-tex shoe.. Love them!

Speedcross are the only tennis shoes i wear. The way they fit your feet is amazing. They are the all terrain shoe of shoes. You dont have to worry about slipping or your feet getting wet when you have these on. Only con i have with them is the sole is a little soft so they wear a little fast

I bought these specifically for a 15K trail run that was very rocky with a lot of elevation. Unfortunately I was unable to "break in" the shoes, only trying them on the night before the race. No problems whatsoever! They handled terrain without a hiccup! Recommend highly!

I wear On Cloud trail shoes but the minute I put these on at my local sports shop I was sold.

I love my shoes very much and may buy another pair in the future.

This look is at the top of it's class, but the feel is even better. I have 40 pair of shoes and these are the most comfortable have.
