I took these out on a few 14er hikes this weekend and they performed beautifully! I am loving the support and cushion plus the added ankle support of the mid-length shoe. They provided plenty of warmth for the cold alpine start, breathable and waterproof against the creek crossings. I am recommending these to all of my friends looking for their next hiking shoe.

I got my pair of Predict boots just in time for a very sloppy shoulder season so I got to really test them out in muddy, wet conditions. The waterproof membrane is great. The boots feel really light and agile while keeping my feet dry even when puddle jumping. And the mud and guck cleans off easily. They fit true to size in comparison with my other Salomon hikers.

I gave them 4 stars instead of 5 because of two things? the round laces come undone a lot even when double knotted, and there is a gap between the tongue and the sides at the ankle so in deep snow or water it's going to let some water in.

Overall, a decent pair of hikers for spring, summer and fall.

I love Salomon hiking boots that I can wear from the shoebox to the trail without having to break them in. My first impression on these is how comfortable they are, and how lightweight they are. Can?t wait to take these out on the trail in the rain with the Gore-Tex technology.

As usual, these Salomons are comfortable from the first wear. They fit comfortably and provide great ankle support that helps the knees to remain stable throughout long mileage hikes. Fit as expected.

I give them four stars because I have not worn them for a long time yet. I like the level of cushion that aids my feet pain when I walk for the suburb roads (concrete and asphalt pavements). I have other Salomon's trail running and hiking shoes. But, when I wore them for road walking, I experienced unbearable pains. So, I use my new PREDICT HIKE MID GORE-TEX as my orthopedic shoes. I bought them a half size up to wear thick socks for cold winter day walking. I live in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada, and winter walking and running are very challenging. I usually wear size 6.5 for road running shoes but found that size 7 is also comfortable for winter and summer. I use these shoes for walking on roads, for less than an hour, and two or three times a week.

I was able to wear these right out of the box and hike a 13er without issues! I love the colorway, they are lightweight, waterproof and breathable. They were true to size (I wear a 7.5) and are holding up through multiple hikes!

Good looking shoes, comfortable, good grip but the color on the inside soles is worn off only after a month of use. The lace hooks cause cuts too. Shoe laces won?t stay tied. They should use different material. Overall good shoe but they should fix the issues, I?m sure I won?t be the only one.
