About the Cannondale Trail 8 Mountain Bike
The Cannondale Men's Trail 8 Mountain Bike is built to raise your game and ignite a passion for the trail. It's designed for the mountains and ready for anything. The simple yet sophisticated SmartForm C3 Aluminum Alloy frame is constructed to yield a light, lively design that out performs anything in it's class. The SAVE Micro-Suspension delivers a smoother, more controlled rider thanks tostrategically engineered flex zones built in to the frame's rear triangle. A slack 68° head angle creates exceptionally stable handling so that you can charge the descents with confidence. It hasStraightShot internal cable routing that provides for an integrated look and easy maintenance. Theshifter and dropper post cable route cleanly through the StraightShot windows in the down tube, while the rear brake Line is secured outside the frame. The Cannondale Men's Trail 8 Mountain Bike is a level up from the rest.
Note: Frame sizes x-small & small will have 27.5" wheels. Frame sizes medium, large & x-large will have 29" wheels. Please see our size chart for more measurements.

Some minor assembly required but the brakes and gears worked perfectly right out of the box. Given how hard it was to find a bike anywhere (local places wanted 2+ months), I'm amazed at how easy it was to buy this one.
Questions & Answers
Yes this bike comes with pedals - Bike came prebuilt from Sun & Ski bike techs! All I had to do was put on the front wheel. Pedals even had grease applied!
Gregory, the Trail 8 listed as "grey" is actually pointing out the accent color. The bike is indeed black, but it has grey accents. Hope this helps!
Hi John! Below are the geometry measurements in centimeters for this bike. Here is also how you can measure your leg length to determine the standover height as well - We hope this helps!
Step 1: Remove your shoes. Spread your feet 6-8 inches apart and straddle a straight edge, like a book.
Step 2:
Using a tape measure, measure the distance from the ground to the top of the book.

Karen, if you live near one of our stores, I would recommend checking to see if they have the bike in stock already. If not, I would then recommend ordering one for in-store pickup. If you have it delivered to your home, you will have to pay for the shipping to return it (which is not cheap for a bike). Please feel free to ask more questions if you have any. Hope this helps.
The WTB SX19 rims are not tubeless-ready, and neither are the tires that come with this bike.
Mike, at 5'10, you could go down to a medium as well, but you are probably closer to a large. If you have an average to long torso, definitely go with the large. The medium and large will be a 29er, and it does make a difference. A 29er rolls over obstacles better, carries a little more momentum, and provides a high level of confidence.
Lynda, at 6'4", we would recommend the XL size.
Gregory, shipping to Roanoke, Virginia is probably about 4-10 days. This is dependent on where the bike actually ships from and how many orders are being prepped to ship ahead of your order. Bike demand is crazy-high right now, so please understand some orders are taking a little longer than normal. Hope this helps! Happy riding!
Gregory, the 2020 Trail 8 weight is right around 30lbs., +/- a pound or two depending on size.
MSwed, the 2020 Trail 8 weight is right around 30lbs., +/- a pound or two depending on size. Cannondale lists a 305lb weight limit for this bike. Happy riding!
