The fit was true to size on these, and I was excited to get out riding with them. By the end of the 2 hour ride, I was done with them. I've been riding Pearl Izumi shorts for a decade and every few years they "improve" the chamois, but it seems to get worse, not better. For these shorts the fabric on the top layer of the chamois bunched and chafed the skin in a few places creating some painful "hot spots". I've never had this happen before. As long as they keep this new design, I won't be riding it.

I bought these shorts because I liked the style with the slim pockets on the side, and wore them for the first time today. They fit well and looked good, but chaffed terribly where my other brand shorts do not. I did not feel the friction while riding, but after the ride I could hardly walk it hurt so bad. I'm afraid to wear them again.

They are a little bit long & waist is really high. I'm 5'7" and wearing medium.

I prefer Peal Izumi and, because we have few options to try on other brands in my locale, I go back to PI. The Attack shorts seem to be of good quality, the chamois is acceptable to good (so far!) on my leather saddle, and are very tight. I have to work a bit to get them on...but once on, I appreciate the fit. The 10.5" inseam is about a half inch too long and it is a standard length (I am 5'8" tall, 155-160 lbs). I notice the stitching of the chamois to the short is different, not the rolled seam but a zig-zag stitch...I presume less expense and I have no experience about it being better or worse.

Overall, the shorts are quite good, comfortable, and rideable for distance.

Theses are cool to ride in. Padding is very comfortable. I also have a pair of the OP select. This expedition quality and comfort is well worth the difference in cost. I Can ride for hours without seat fatigue. The pants fit snugly but with lots of flex and give when needed.

Love lots of padding, and these shorts have LOTS of padding.

Never had shorts as comfortable as these after 40 miles.
Side pockets are perfect for phones of cliff bars. There's a rear waist band pocket I just recently discovered. Don't know what to put there but I figure it out.

Excellent biking shorts!!! The padding is great for the cycling that I do. I use these for road cycling. They stay down in the leg great. I love the extra pockets for easy access to nutritional supplements. For as described.

I purchased these to replace my old shorts than I had for many years. I knew they were old but WOW these are just AWESOME. The padding, fit and contour tell me my old shorts were just gone. I have since ordered 3 other pairs. Well worth the money for the fit and comfort!! BEST I have owned

Good fit. Good chamois. 6'1" 205lb 36" waist. large fits perfectly and fits same as other pearl izumi shorts I have.
