I was a little worried about these fitting properly when I ordered them. I'm literally just over the recommended listed inches for the XXXL size. (I usually buy Mens but the chafing on my long rides was taking away my love of biking.) But I crossed my fingers & took a leap of faith. So glad I did!
These fit like a dream! They're just tight enough to stay on properly but not so tight that they pinch. I've used these twice for indoor spin (the weather outside took a cold turn) and I'm hoping to get in one more long outdoor ride before the riding season ends for me. So far, these shorts are amazing. I'll definitely be ordering more!
FYI - I'm a tall-ish fat girl. (5'9") My weight is distributed fairly evenly but I tend to carry the excess in my stomach area. I prefer looser fitting clothes and usually wear a size 20 jeans. I'm also pretty active so when I find work out clothes that fit my body type, I'm happy to let others know.
I know I'm not the only active fat girl out there! ;)

I take these on all rides over 15-20 miles. While I love the sugar shorts for short rides, the chamois in these is superior. I love the super soft material, the slightly matte sheen, and the seamless no-sausage leg. To get done with a 40+ mile ride and feel great below the waist is priceless. I'm 5'8", 28" waist, 40" hips and bought a medium. Please make more colors!

I don't know what the company was thinking when it designed the pad in these shorts. It's actually 2 separate pads with a space in the center between them. Guess where the inner edges of the pad wind up? I have an old pair of Pearl Izumi shorts that have a super comfortable 1-piece thick pad. Go back to that design!

I am 5'11, weigh 170 pounds and bought these in a size 12. I originally ordered a 10 and felt they were tight around the hips. I feel like they run small but overall they are excellent shell shorts. The waist band and belt are awesome and easily adjustable. I have bigger thighs, so they are actually form fitting around my legs, but still very stretchy, breathable and comfortable. I will be buying these in other colors!

Best Fit for curvy ladies
I'm a curvy Latina with hips and bottom , my hips to waste ratio is always so challenging! I purchased these in anXL to accommodate my bottom. I find these aren't too tight on the thigh area and fit perfectly! I love these shorts and plan to purchase another pair. If you are curvy I recommend these shorts. I'm 5"5 175. Waist 30, hips 41

These are the most uncomfortable bike shorts I have ever worn. I've worn them 3 times, thinking they might get more comfortable with wearing and washing them. I believe the padding is not sewn in correctly. The pad lays flat in my other Pearl Izumi shorts and these are all scrunched up in the middle. I was going to return them, but was very disappointed to find that it is outside of their return period. I cannot wear these for any extended length of time.

Didn't think these shorts could be improved but they did it! They are even more comfortable and are my go to for long rides. Well designed waist for no rolling, well designed chamois for proper placement and incredible support. The legs stay in place without a gripper end. Just wish they hadn't made the legs longer. I'm 5'3, 114lbs, and wear a medium which fits snugly without constriction. The legs were a little long on me in the previous version but still good. This new version is almost to my knees. Hoping they will come out with a version for shorter women

I hadn't bought Pearl Izumi shorts for a while, but I am glad I came back. These shorts are great. The pad isn't too big, which is good for me. I can't stand big thick pads that bunch up and chafe. I really like these shorts and will be wearing them a lot this summer. I'll probably get another pair along with "sun legs." I live in the Phoenix, AZ area and summers here are brutal. We don't look forward to them.

Very nice looking, Useless Pockets
Yes, pockets can make or break a short for me. I prefer my less expensive PI Canyon shorts to these because they have awesome pockets at the side of the leg that zip and actually fit a phone. I did love the look of these shorts. The grey/branch pattern is very nice looking without having to be pink or purple or black. I am plus size with a muffin top (can't wear high waisted pants). I also prefer to wear bibs under my shell so I struggle a bit with them staying up but I think its a problem with most shorts for me. I have begun adding silicone to the waistbands myself. I followed the size chart and when I ended up with the 20, the waist seemed a little large, but I'm not sure if my thighs would've fit in a smaller size. This isn't a dig on PearlIzumi...finding gear that works for plus sizes is just difficult due to so many different body shapes. I'm grateful they have some items in plus sizes at least.

Most uncomfortable bike shorts ever!
These are absolutely miserable to wear. I tried them twice (figured after the first time maybe they just needed to be broken in), and they were still horrible. I don't know if I got a defective pair or the entire line of this model is bad. The structure of the crotch is totally off. I felt like I had a bath towel rolled up inside my pants. And worst case of chafing ever, even after a short ride. But my biggest complaint is that I've contacted the company on their website twice about this, and gotten no response. whatsoever. Whatever happened to customer service??? Total waste of money since these are absolutely not wearable. On a positive note, I also ordered their expedition shorts and absolutely love those. But not sure I will buy from them again, considering the lack of response on this terrible product.
