saved my life

I had a bike crash , and had a fractured hip, fractured scapula, collapsed lung and broiken ribs .
I was wearing the this smith helmet , and has no head injuries .
Best thing i have invested in .

Bought this for gravel riding

Bought this for gravel riding and love it. Great fit exactly as measured. Snug on my head and chin but not overly tight and can adjust. Very high quality build!

Fit Great - Strap subpar

The fit is great, but the strap alignment is not very good. The strap keeps loosening during rides. The look is okay but seems the helmet sits pretty high on my head. I don't really like the secondary color and wish it were all black. The quality of the helmet part is excellent though as previously mentioned the strap location and use is average to poor.

Saved My Dad's Life

Bought this for my dad (72) who keeps on the pedals. Had a massive wreck, this helmet is the only thing that saved his life.

light and great ventilation

Took a couple of rides with this helmet this week...really lightweight and feels like wearing just a baseball cap. Great ventilation and didn't sweat during my rides. The only negative is the strap. Both sides DON'T lie flat to my face and the Y-buckles does not stay flush to my face like my previous Bontrager Circuit helmet. Another annoyance is the straps do not stay locked into the chin buckle and constantly gets loose any time I put on or take off helmet. But, there is an easy fix to this issue...just wrap an elastic band a couple of times close to the chin buckle and then push the 0 ring against it. The strap is rigid now and does not slip out of the buckle.

So beyond, the strap issue, I highly recommend the Pesist helmet at the sale price of $80.

Comfortable and light

I mountain bike with the focus on pedaling, not as much on downhill. I had previously been using a typical mountain bike helmet with a visor, and compared to that this has much better ventilation. The white and grey is a very clean look and seems to help with reflecting sunlight on bright, hot days. It has slightly less protection for the back of the head compared to a mountain bike helmet, but I don't feel any less protected on the trail.
