Mail Man Approved
I am a new mail carrier for the USPS I don't have a uniform allotment yet so I have to get my own rain gear. Having used this coat in a moderate rain for 8.5 hours non stop, I found it, I stayed dry and comfy all day the pockets are big enough to fit my scanner and other necessities in. I've used the coat in shorter wet weather events but this really impressed me today even my Gore-Tex boots got soaked from all the water, but not this coat.

Doesn't last
Was great when I first bought it. My one complaint was the hood sags and gets in the way when being worn without a hat. After about a year of use, it started absorbing the water, while generally falling apart and stopped serving it's purpose. Unless you want to buy a new rain jacket every year, I wouldn't recommend.

Stellar product
I bought four of these to keep on our boat for crew. we had s chance to try them out on a rainy, windy day with an occasional wave crashing up to soak us. The jackets were lightweight and breathable which is great for our Hawaii weather, but they are also totally waterproof. Not a drop of water got through. I'm going to order even more to keep aboard for our clients to use.
The quality is superb. The design is attractive and functional and the jackets are even better than I expected and I expect a lot from Columbia.

Catastrophic failure on first use in rainstorm; poor customer service
I purchased this jacket in October, 2017. I had worn it just a handful of times, and never in sustained rains. Yesterday I was finishing a paddling trip in Missouri, and I had a three-hour paddle to get off the river. The jacket completely failed. I soaked through, and I was fortunate the weather was warm enough that it was not a hypothermia risk. Because I purchased it more than 50 days ago, I was transferred for warranty service. The only service they offer is merchandise credit, and Columbia will not even pay for the shipping cost to return the jacket. Now I have store credit for a safety item that I do not trust enough to replace. Despite having a credit with Columbia, I will still purchase rain gear from another manufacturer. Purchasing this item has cost me more than $150, including the rain pants I purchase that also failed (the seat soaked through), the shipping costs, and the sales tax. This has been a complete waste of money.

Columbia MEN'S WATERTIGHT? II JACKET
I love this jack et it is very nice fits great and i would say it is worth the money even tho it is not the most expensive one out their it is still very nice. I hope u love it to because my experience with it it great. This jacket is good for hiking fishing walking around or just a light summer jacket etc. The material is rain prof on the out side and the inside material is like a swim suit liner but black but you do not notice it.
Thanks for reading my review!

It works
I am 5'10" @ 180lbs and the large fits me well. I can agree with some of the comments mentioned in other posts. I got to try the jacket in Geneva Switzerland during a 2hr walk in constant rain. The waterproof aspects of the jacket worked extremely well. I can agree that the water just pearled off me as on a tree leaf. The finish of the the seams is done very well. The hood worn in conjunction with a baseball cap seals around the head extremely well and keeps all water out. I would also agree with the zippers and linings. Yes, I noticed the sleeve lining to come out of the sleeve and had to readjust. Worse was the main and pocket zippers. They jammed because the lining catches easily in the zipper mechanism. Sealed zippers would make this a super jacket. Finally, it took me some time to find the hidden pocket into which to stuff the jacket as a small pouch, the "packable" function. It is actually the left pocket. Once packed the the netting of the pocket becomes the outer bag. That is not really functional because once reversed this netting catches on everything. Why not make the "packable" pocket in a solid material?

Great jacket for the weather
I have worn this jacket for over 10 years anytime the weather is between 60 degrees and 10 degrees. When it's cold I add a sweater under it. I ride my bike to and from work, so I own the orange jacket to be visible. I ride in rain, snow and wind, and the jacket is truly waterproof. It is comfortable, easy to layer with, and does its job well, and for a very reasonable price. My college age kids wouldn't recognize me in any other jacket!

Sturdy and Well Built for the Price
I purchased a a jacket in the Rocket color.
I have used it as a shell layer for wind and rain cover on many hikes and tours.
PROS:
- Waterproof Material: When it pours, water does not slowly seep through the material. It is truly waterproof.
- Light Weight: Easy to pack, can tuck it all into its own pocket or hood, light build.
- Sturdy: I have purchased raincoats in the past that have had their linings dry out and break up after a year. This jacket does not do that. Very sturdy build.
- Good Hood: The hood design with the small brim is very effective. In very hard rain you have to keep your head down to keep everything out, but in general it is great.
CONS:
- Zipper Flap: This jacket features a Velcro zipper flap and normal zipper, as opposed to a waterproof zipper. I only had it leak in very serious rain storms, when I wasn't being careful enough about keeping it sealed. I have never had a problem with it in light or normal rain though.
- Can Be Hot: As a function of being a water tight jacket, it does not breath well. I would say it does as well as it can at being light weight and not too hot on a rainy summers day, but I tend to find myself sweating when I have my heart rate up and I am wearing it.
COMMENTS:
As a head up I am very careful washing my jackets, and that may be why mine has lasted a long time.
For the price and the color selection, this Jacket is great.

Water resistant, NOT waterproof
The Watertight II title would lead you to think that this jacket is waterproof. If you are looking for a good priced, lightweight, water resistant jacket for running errands, this is the jacket for you. But, if you work outside for a living like I do, and need a jacket to keep you dry no matter the down pour, look elsewhere. This jacket resists water for a little while but over time it starts to hold water and leak in through both pockets as well as the bottom seam.

Men's Watertight II jacket
Great jacket! Well made! It runs small through the arm holes and shoulder blade area. Buy one size up. I bought a large but sent it back due to tightness in the arm holes and shoulder blade areas. The extra large fits well, especially if you want to fit a fleece underneath it.
