This is a great cooler I think we have every size! I wish they would think about us females more! We buy coolers too! Make more colors for us! Pinks! Purple! Orange! Lime!!! Hello!!!

I'm a UPS driver in Maine and bought the hopper 8. First off it is way too small. It barely fits a small lunch and two water bottles with the yeti ice on bottom. Also, was very disappointed with the cooling. I barley got a half a day and everything was warm and yeti ice had melted. It wasn't even that hot out. I'm immediately returning for the hopper 12 and see how that works. Zipper is a pain but just got to keep it lubricated.

It's a great cooler but I do wish it had a zipper front pocket and maybe posckets on each side. There is nowhere to stick some papers or your cell phone.

I got this Hopper Flip to be used for my lunchbox at work after previous good experience with other yeti products. Living in phoenix keeping things cold when needed is a must. i store my Hopper Flip in my office at work in a AC building so not extreme heat like outside but when i use my Hopper Flip it works just good enough for one day. I put a 4lbs yeti ice in it at 7am and open it like 3 times throughout the day and by 5pm its not to cold. Luckily most my cold needed food is ate by then but for the price (also as an engineer who does heat transfer i did have higher expectations like at least a solid 24 hours of being a good level of cold. I even tried freezing the Hopper Flip over night which helped a little but still short of expectations. I might take thermal camera to it one of these days and see what i notice. The zipper was good for me no complaints there a little tough but its not bad.

I’ve had this cooler for over one year and it’s been great up until the T grip threading broke off from the zipper. The zipper closure is already difficult to use so you have to be gentle and not rip the threading that holds the T grip to the zipper. So unfortunate.

You can fit 10 Coors Lights in here with ice. Perfect for golf, fits perfect in golf cart storage.

I bought this cooler about a year ago. Loved it for packing my lunch on warm days. Today the zipper broke and Plastic teeth went flying everywhere. Totally upset it did not last longer. For the money thought it would. Love all my other zeti products

This is our third Yeti cooler (tundra 45, backflip, now hopper 8, it completes the must haves, but still I have my eye on a few other products. I say that because each of the products kill it in their area. The hopper's best area is day trips and its size. Some people have said they wish they got a bigger one, and yes if you do go for a bigger softy I'd say go backflip it rocks. But the hopper 8's size is perfect. Perfect to keep it from being too heavy for ease of carry, but it is also big enough that you can get a lunch, dinner, a couple 12oz drinks, a snack, 2lb yeti ice and some loose ice if you pack it smart. Another size bonus is it minimizes negative space for air to be to eat at the life of your ice/Yeti ice. In my larger Yeti coolers I stuff the space with towels as Yeti suggests, but because this cooler is more compact I don't have to which is a convenience win for me. The shoulder strap has a nice rubberized grip on it so it doesn't slide off your shoulder, and there is some cushion built into it. My main use for this cooler is packing my lunch and dinner for school. It keeps my food in good food safe temperatures for the day. I walk about 4 miles a day with this cooler, and the weight and grippy strap are big pluses for me.

A couple things you should know:
The top inch or so of the cooler from the indention of the inside just below the zipper to the roof of the inside lining can be used to place an ice pack or what not. It seems as if you have to stop at the zipper but you can fit more. Hard to tell from the pictures but this extra inch is a value add to me.

Secondly, for the love of Pete use the zipper lubricant on all your yeti products with a hydrolok zipper. OMG that stuff is like magic!! The zipper performs sooooooo much easier with it applied. I was shocked.

Some things I've noticed:
Around the zipper there is some condensation build up at times. It's not leaking, and water is not seeping through to the exterior of the material, as some reviews I've seen have suggested. This is just condensation build up. A mild amount I would say.

Also on the inside of the cooler sometimes after you either wash it or have water in it for some time small sections, about half the size of a dime, of the blue lining looks a litter darker blue (blue in my case I have the fog grey/tahoe blue color scheme) which I don't know why it does that. This is mostly at the top of the cooler below the zipper right about where the insulation indents inward on that seam. Maybe it is a small leak or penetration of the clear lining? Not sure. But it goes away after it drys. It doesn't always happen, but worth noting and I'm sure they are already working to fix/improve this. No smell or staining, but just strange. But just wanted to note it for transparency of the review.

All things considered:
This is a great product! It performs very well, and is durable. I don't like to buy something unless it will exceed my use for it, and Yeti is definitely engineering products to perform at the top level. If you haven't purchased a Yeti cooler there's no time like the present to reap the benefits of greatness!

I left it outside while riding in the desert and the side melted. Only had it 1 week!

This cooler does not keep things cold like my other Yeti products have. I am extremely disappointed, given the price I paid for the cooler and as a result, I would not recommend purchasing. I purchased one for myself and another was a gift. After discussing with others who have similar styles like this one, I learned this is common. Overall, very disappointing from a brand I expected more from.
